Hey everyone, just starting out with overclocking. I've managed to get my i7 9700k running at 5.0 ghz using 1.275 volts. Is this safe? Average gaming temps are around 45-55 degrees, and I usually hit 68 max during load.

No, that's not correct. It wasn't mentioned which Cinebench version was used—should be R20. Launch it, go to File > Preferences > Minimum Test Duration(seconds). Adjust it to at least one hour (3600 seconds), though the longer it is, the better. Click OK and then Run.

It looks like you're asking about your current setup. Could you clarify what you mean by "what motherboard and cooler are you using"?

You've performed exceptionally well.
The maximum is set by the chip's quality.
By the way:
As of 2/6/2019
What percentage can achieve an overclock with a reasonable Vcore in the 1.337 to 1.375 range?
And AVX offset = 2.
I7-9700K
5.2 10%
5.1 35%
5.0 78%
4.9 100%
----------------------bottom line--------------------
Stay the same.

Which program were you employing to simulate the load? The maximum temperature seems modest, but if the stability analysis confirms it's accurate, everything appears in order.
