i7-9700K running at 4.6GHz during idle mode
It's unusual to experience this twice, but it's not uncommon. No need to worry—let me know if you want some suggestions!
I confirm the issue stemmed from idling through the bluescreen viewer. The BSOD occurred during a stopped state, and I reviewed the details to identify the cause.
This setting keeps your processor running at its maximum speed across all cores, which can be useful for demanding tasks. It should remain stable as long as your BIOS defaults are correct.
The first problem was CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT, the second was MACHINE_HANDLE_EXCEPTION, and a third issue appeared with another setting. I also face other challenges such as normal RAM speeds allowing the system to operate smoothly, but adjusting XMP profiles from Asus Maximus in the BIOS causes sudden on/off cycles lasting about two seconds, followed by unexpected restarts that lead to BSODs and occasional "No signal from dp port" messages on the monitor even when the PC is still active. I’m new to this setup and built my PC just four days ago; initially it only showed a two-time boot error at startup, but after playing graphically demanding games like BF5, temperatures rose sharply to 85°C, triggering these instability issues. I live in a small city with limited access to tech experts, especially those experienced with gaming PCs. At this stage, I’m willing to hire someone who can assist with video calls and systematically resolve all my problems one by one.
