i7-9700K OC model
Hello everyone, I'm trying to push my processor over its limits but keep encountering issues. The setup includes an i7-9700k on an MSI Z390 Pro Carbon with 32 GB Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 (4x8), an MSI GTX 1660 Super Gaming with 6 GB RAM, and a pair of AIO DeepCool Gamma X 240 v2 along with a WD Green 480 SSD M.2. The BIOS settings are configured as follows: CPU Ratio Apply Mode, Core CPU Ratio 50, Dynamic Mode, AVX disabled, EIST enabled, Enhanced Turbo off, Power settings with load line calibration and adaptive voltage control. The system features a 4.48 GHz maximum under default conditions, reaching up to 4.68 GHz with adjustments.
It might not work well with bad silicon. Avoid overclocking; set it lower, around 4.8 across all cores, and see if that helps.
your cpu is using exactly 95w. check the bios for a power limit setting; if not, enable MCE. if vdroop is excessive, switch to a different llc. your current configuration is far from ideal—normally a 9700k should run at about 125w. with a 1.05v, 4.4ghz profile drawing 95w, it matches the expected performance. most 9700ks operate around 1.375v and 4.9avx without power caps (actual is ~1.275v).
