I've boosted my CPU to 5Ghz, achieving 55-67°C during gaming. The cooler is a Corsair H60 running at full speed, which can get quite loud. What's the best temperature setting for this configuration? Ideally, it should avoid shortening the CPU's life, prevent long-term degradation, and keep the CPU safe from overheating. Current room temperatures range between 17-20°C.

67C performs well, particularly at 5GHz. A few users set it to its default performance level.

Intel recommends keeping temperatures under 85°C for optimal performance, while staying above 80°C is best avoided. The 9700K reaches 105°C and tends to throttle significantly once it hits around 100°C. Many users agree that a range between 70-75°C offers the best mix of efficiency and quiet operation.
