I'm looking for advice on BIOS adjustments to maximize the Turbo boost potential of an i7-9700 CPU without risking damage. I'm considering the Asus TUF H370 board and want tips from users who have experience with this specific motherboard and chip. I need information about the recommended settings, especially for a locked multiplier CPU, and a reliable source for the i7-9700 Turbo speed details. Also, I'd like to know if the TUF series is generally better than the B series for this model. Please share your insights!
What is your financial plan? If you don’t already own the platform, consider a 3700x or a 10600k/10700k option.

I prefer lower voltages and don’t want to invest more in a Z490 that I won’t use. The 10600K and 10700K aren’t exciting enough, and overclocking them would be pointless. Plus, they’re not available in Australia yet, and since I’m mainly gaming, the 3700X isn’t what I need.
A quicker gaming CPU isn't what you're looking for because it performs worse under current conditions. It offers less performance due to lower IPC, slower clock speed, and fewer threads. Compared to the 3700X, the 9700 is significantly better in nearly all aspects, and it's also more affordable.
I could try that, but it depends on how quickly you can purchase them. If the 10th generation is too costly together with the boards, the 9th generation would work fine. An IPC boost isn't huge to me; I'm more interested in casual gaming than editing a 4K Blu-ray XD. I understand it does matter, but availability is key. Plus, there are many good H series boards for that price, so you're not wrong about that.

I understand it has fewer threads, but at 1080p gaming it doesn’t really matter much. The 3700X is solid, and I agree it’s better in some aspects. However, this chip isn’t available to me, and buying it would be a waste since it performs worse than the 9700 compared to what I currently have. It’s cheaper to go with the 9700 right now.
