Everything is installed correctly. The pump spins at 2800 rpm, and the thermal paste was changed three times at identical temperatures.

the 8700k shows weak ihs and contact without a delid, typically needing a 20-25C adjustment. Running at 85-90C during heavy sessions works fine. I’d consider lowering the voltage to check stability and avoid delidding.

Just because the pump reads 2800rpm doesn't guarantee accuracy. This is how AiO's typically perform. I experienced three AiO units with failing pumps, none showed major signs of failure except temperature increases and occasional noise. It’s acceptable if there are occasional drops—sometimes it’s just minor issues that software can’t detect. However, in this situation, reaching 100°C at 20°C with a 1.35v supply sounds problematic. With a 240mm AIO on an 8700kW system, the cooling system seems compromised—it might not be powerful enough or there could be a defect. These units usually handle around 140 watts of heat; 240mm AIOs should manage at least 180 watts.

You can still customize your rig even if it's not perfect. Not every 8700K uses the same setup, so you might not be the best overclocker. For a decent upgrade, consider spending about $35 on silicon chips.

With the high temperature spikes of 95°C for a 280mm cooler on an 8700K at around 4.7 Ghz, it doesn’t seem to be affected. My CPU is fine. During idle it runs between 35-38°C, and in less demanding games it’s around 55-62°C, though spikes appear up to 95 when background apps run.

The 4.7 level was the lowest setting, usually near 1.32v, but that was the worst situation. Consider reducing it slightly if stability returns.

If youre up for it, the cheap ebay tool and some lm is a good investment. I can run mine in the mid 40's if I wanted. But I do have a custom loop. I have a good overclocking chip on a cheap board. Run 5.0 at 1.32.
