I checked my bios and noticed vcore at 1.255v. Is that typical?
Before that, I was running at 4.7ghz with overclock enabled, but now I set it back to 4.7ghz for turboboost. After resetting everything to default settings, it remained at 1.255v, which is the stock voltage, isn't it?

The stock voltage is determined by the motherboard according to your chip, and there isn't a universal default VCORE for the 8700k that works on all boards and chips. You might be able to use stable stock clocks at a reduced voltage if you wish to make adjustments.
