Your i7-8565u is experiencing full throttling down to 800Mhz. After installing ThrottleStop, it confirmed thermal throttling, yet 3DMark performance stays below 80°C despite throttling. Attempted CPU undervolting at the most stable setting, but results were minimal.

Which laptop model are you referring to? How recently did you take it apart and check its condition? Have you ever changed the cooling paste?

The device is a Lenovo Ideapad Flex 15IWL. It hasn’t been opened or serviced, yet it’s just a year old. I haven’t changed the cooling paste either.

Adjust the speedstep to 1 at the throttle stop.

I just disassembled it. Removed the dust, but couldn’t reapply the thermal paste since the installer took off the heatsink screws, making it difficult. The laptop cooled down slightly while idle, yet the throttle stop continues to indicate it’s slowing down.

I just tested it. Thermal readings are still low. I don’t know why—max temperature is 95°C, but the Intel site says it throttles at 100°C.

There’s nothing wrong here. The CPU is designed to slow down when it reaches 95°C to avoid overheating.

It's strange. I experienced high performance at 95°C with stable operation above 3GHz, yet suddenly it dropped to 800MHz unexpectedly.
