temperature readings are more important than just stress testing
Is the temperature excessive? Mostly it stays around 29 degrees during idle, and the majority of the stress test was at 70 degrees.

Yeah that's fine. After 26 it gets warmer because of AVX instructions, and 75C works okay. Remember, Prime95 adds extra stress than normal usage does. I don't bother with it myself, though some people believe it's necessary for certain reasons. A better real-world test would be using an ASUS ROG Realbench.

it gets hotter after 26 due to avx instructions, but 75c is fine. prime95 adds extra stress than real use does. i don’t need to use it, though some think it’s necessary. a better test would be asus rog realbench. with my i7-7700k, i ran a 4.8ghz stress test at 1.325v for 15 minutes, reached 89c. what should you do next? lower voltage? how does it affect if you reduce it too much for that frequency? will it cause a blue screen or apps slow down?
