What constitutes a safe voltage for the i7 6800k? I've maintained 100% stability up to 1.42v at 4.4ghz. Prime95 (version 26.6) shows temperatures around 70, while Intel Burn Test was near 72.

I would suggest a maximum of 1.5 volts. The FX-9590 also doesn't require that much voltage for operation.

On most motherboards, 1.5 volts is quite high. The processor begins to slow down near 1.45 volts.

The motherboard changes color when it's at that voltage. I think a 4.5ghz might work.
