Hi All,
My PC was performing stability tests with prime95 28.7, small FFTs, and Linx max settings. I7 6700k, OC at 4.5ghz, running under load. The temperatures were 1.280-1.296°C, v around 20 minutes, max core temp 81-82°C. Room temperature was about 22°C.
IBT test showed 78°C. My question is: are these numbers acceptable when the system is under full load? Should I be concerned if they’re high, especially with room temperatures between 27-28°C in summer? Just checking if these values seem normal or excessive.
PC Ring:
-Asus Z170-A
-I7 [email protected]
-Enermax Liqmax 2 240 AIO
Thanks,
Csaba

Adjust the voltage settings further. You shouldn't be reaching 82C even when using a dual-rad AIO in Prime95.

1.280-1.296v is too high. I'm worried these numbers below won't work well.
At 81-82 Celsius, how much liquid will it hold?

Yes, 82C is too high. Reduce the voltage slightly, perform a stress test, and repeat. Also, did you remove the plastic cover from the AIO's waterblock before mounting it on the CPU?

That's correct
I'm not a beginner. I'll attempt to reduce the voltage, but I worry it might become unstable

Even if it becomes unstable you can just raise the voltage back to a stable one, there's nothing to "fear".

You believe I was a highly sought-after Volts 4.5GHz model? 1.28 to 1.296 GHz?
