They won't handle it very well. 2080ti will face significant challenges from them. Are you paying them a high price, or do you already possess them?

You should consider a more recent processor if you need to purchase it. Modern CPUs like Ryzen 3000 offer better performance for gaming compared to older Xeons.

Do you already possess both units? If not, consider E5-1680 v2 at a lower price. It's the quickest unlocked CPU for the X79 platform; Iceberg Tech evaluated the E5-1680 v2 last month. The 4960X likely won't outperform the 4930K and 3960X he has tried. The nearest match to the E5-2697 v2 is the E5-2680 v2, which offers about 2c/4t less than the E5-2697 v2 but probably isn't a major gap.
