There are liquid coolers measuring 240mm or larger that will perform adequately. Yes, those will work well.

The review links you shared are helpful. Are you sure this guide is meant for complete beginners who are new to overclocking? I’m looking for something simple, like "overclocking for dummies" instead of diving straight into technical settings.

Check out the link provided for more details. Technically, any liquid cooler with a size of 240mm or larger should work well. That cooler should suffice. Appreciate the help!

Hi all.
This is my initial attempt at overclocking my CPU. I have no prior experience with this process.
After some research, it seems I'm facing a bit of a challenge. Most recommend keeping the Vcore voltage below 1.3v, which means I have limited room for adjustments. Currently, it's already reaching 1.283v when the system auto-boosts to 4.4Ghz. It's running at normal speeds right now, and I've never even touched it before.
Even a small increase of 0.05 (50mV) suggested for every 100Mhz would push the Vcore to 1.333, which exceeds the recommended level for continuous use. I'm not sure I can go as high as 4.5!
Is it even worth trying to make these changes?

Mobo : Asus Maximus VII Ranger
Température : J'utilise principalement mon PC pour des jeux, il varie entre 50°C et 55°C selon le jeu. Je ne m'inquiétais pas vraiment de la température du CPU, mais quand je vérifiais, elle se situait dans cette fourchette.
Motivation : J'ai choisi 32 gigabits de RAM à 2400Mhz, et selon mes recherches, cette RAM ne fonctionnera pas même si j'active XMP. Je pense devoir optimiser aussi mon CPU (vérifie si tu as tort !). Je tente donc d'apprendre tout en attendant l'arrivée du matériel.
Beaucoup disent que ce CPU est très réactif aux optimisations, et puisque j'ai les composants pour le faire, je veux le pousser au maximum sans le ruiner.

I've attempted to use the benchmark tools mentioned in the link provided by "chenuki." The OCCT was straightforward, not too complex. However, POV-Ray seems a bit more challenging. I looked for a guide on benchmarking POV-Ray but couldn't find any. How do I configure the time limit for the test? Do I need to adjust specific settings or just select Render > Run Benchmark (using all CPU)? When I launch the program, it displays an "internal editor" prompt asking me to download it. What does that mean? Am I required to install it?
