I maintained a stable OC with my 4770k at 4.4GHz and 1.250v for two months without issues. During the initial check, CPU-Z indicated it was running at 4.4GHz and 1.250v under idle conditions, but when idle, it dropped to around 0.900GHz and 0.722v. After two months, the Task Manager still showed 4.4GHz while idle. I’m unsure if there’s been any change since then, but it currently reads 1.250v and 4.4GHz. Can I revert the settings, and is this usage safe for my system? It doesn’t seem to affect temperature.

It's secure, CPU-Z could be affected by a Windows update issue or another problem, or Speedstep might have been disabled in the BIOS.
