i7-4770k Stress Testing
i7-4770k Stress Testing
Hello,
I'm planning to overclock my CPU and wanted to know which stress test software to use. I was thinking of starting with Prime95 because of a video tutorial, but the creator warned it's not suitable for Haswell and Skylake processors. Since Prime95 uses AVX, I'm concerned it might affect my 4770k.
My main questions are:
- What stress testing software is best for my i7-4770k?
- Any tips on overclocking?
Specs to note:
CPU: i7-4770k at stock and turbo (3.9GHz)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Extreme
Power Supply: Corsair RM850 (850W)
RAM: 2x Corsair Vengeance Pro 8GB, 1600MHz, dual channel
Cooler: Corsair H110 always at max with Noctua fans also at max
