I7-4510U Overklocking voltage
Hi! Overclocking your laptop CPU from 55C and 2.8GHz to 3GHz or 3.1GHz is possible, but you need to ensure the temperatures stay below 70°C and use the correct voltage settings.
Hi! I'm trying to increase my laptop's CPU speed from 55c and 2.8ghz to around 3ghz or 3.1 for turbo boost. I want to keep the temperature below 70°C and figure out the right voltage settings. This processor is locked.

The intel extreme utility engine offers the ability to adjust the clock speed. Is this only for underclocking? Will it enable you to modify the core clock speed or the multiplier? I understand that XTU supports unlocked processors, but I wasn't sure it would permit changes on a locked processor. You might try increasing the core clock by 5Mhz or raising the multiplier by one to test.
Will it let you adjust the core clock speed or multiplier? I understand XTU works with unlocked processors, but I wasn't sure it would apply to locked ones. Consider increasing the core clock by 5Mhz or boosting the multiplier by one to test.
