BTX disappeared from the LGA775 era I know about. They probably returned to mATX before Core 2 replaced them. The Ivy Bridge (3xxx-series) is the top option you can get, but you should verify your BIOS whitelist for CPUs. And it might offer around a 15% improvement—what are you planning to use the machine for?

I only know about it because of a dead Optiplex 740 with a dead PSU and an Athlon 64 X2 5600+ that currently languishes in my parts pile awaiting payment from someone who wants to take a chance on whether it survived the PSU going kablooey. I'm guessing the LGA775 is probably about the same vintage.
