I’d choose the B760 gaming X with Deepcool ls720 SE. The extra cost of the i7 13700k isn’t the main factor; what matters is getting the best performance and cooling for your setup. The B760 offers solid gaming performance and better thermal management than a typical motherboard, making it ideal for your configuration.
It's now rated higher with improved memory controller and a more robust chip. A $10 difference still makes good sense.
I'm worried about the potential increase in temperatures without a noticeable performance improvement. Regarding multicore enhancement, turning it off means you won't gain any further speed boosts—it limits performance to what's advertised.
I believed this could work only on Z motherboards, unfortunately I lack much experience with good BIOSes. I only had two until now, which my parents bought as Lenovo prebuilds—they were extremely limited, offering almost no choices inside.
I tried the setup on a B660M-A Pro paired with my 13700K, and it functioned properly. The Gigabyte board also included them.
