I assemble a computer for a friend and the setup isn’t displaying anything. The cooling fans function correctly, but nothing appears on the screen. All components are brand new, so no updates were installed on the motherboard. I believe updating the BIOS is necessary to enable 13th generation support, but I don’t have a 12th generation board. Is there a workaround I can try? Thanks ahead.
Certain motherboards enable you to update the BIOS via a USB drive without requiring a CPU or RAM. You should verify whether the board offers this capability—often referred to as flashback—or if it includes a separate BIOS USB connection on the back panel.
Not really interested in that. External bios are super affordable, though they take a while to ship from China.
