Mainly the name of the product. I’m leaning toward AMD for better value and similar performance. But after checking those graphs... I’m not sure... I plan to run games mainly, but also stream or listen on multiple monitors. My aim is 144fps or more in competitive titles like Valorant and Rainbow Six, while handling Discord and Chrome too. Are the numbers realistic? Do you think those low FPS counts matter much? Do you have any good or bad experiences with either? I’m hoping to get a lot of “GO AMD WE R IN 2020” replies instead of buying something wrong.
Intel suits you if you're mainly into gaming. AMD offers better value overall, though I've experienced quite a few minor issues that bother me.
I would purchase the 3700x each time unless a better non-K SKU is available.
The chart gives a solid picture and that’s why I remain loyal to Intel. Mostly I play games on my PC... and do a lot of photo editing. It’s tough to say that a 9900k or your 10700k at 5 ghz or above isn’t good for multitasking and editing. I’d rather focus on the FPS in games and the small performance boosts during editing. This... Intel setup just works. If gaming isn’t the main priority, I’d say AMD is more worth the occasional minor issues. But... if your needs match Intel’s strengths... go for it at 10700k!
Absolutely not for gaming. It works great for regular PC tasks or video editing and rendering, especially with AMD.
Well, this specific test isn't the ideal choice for making a decision because most people don't play SOTR at 1080p Medium with a 2080Ti. Still, Intel remains superior for high refresh rate gaming. In fact, at 144Hz, even a 3700X should perform well. However, if you're mainly using your PC for gaming, I recommend opting for a 10600K instead of the 10700K, as the latter provides no extra performance and costs the same as the 3700X. Absolutely, I understand your point. I don't think 3700 over 10700 makes sense for someone who plays games. Also, if you're focusing on plug-and-play functionality, AMD isn't the top choice right now, but they've improved significantly, which is a positive development.
The main 5GHz model offers the best value. Gamers appreciate higher frequencies!
