I reviewed YouTube clips and articles about i5 9600K overclocking. Most sources mentioned reaching at least 5.0ghz. To be cautious, I increased my multiplier to 49 without changing voltage or other settings. After restarting Windows via BIOS, the chip reset itself, but when I tried to boot, it asked for a system fix. It seems the overclock was unstable. I’m still back online and want to try again. Could the F-series chip behave differently? Or did I miss something important for a stable boost?

Adjust the voltage carefully; otherwise a stable output won't form with default configurations.

Raise the voltage for stability, but monitor the reading at 4.9 GHz and adjust slightly at a time. Avoid large changes and don’t jump in without caution. Spend more time and perform gradual adjustments to reach the ideal setting safely.
