I collect the i5 as a strong option. I'm just starting out, but would the i5 fit those specifications: 2060 super 16GB DDR4, Gigabyte AORUS B450?
The i5 9600K offers little improvement. It doesn't work well with a B450 chipset motherboard. It's likely better to go with a Ryzen 5 3600 and the specifications you have in mind.
Are you asking if it requires eight processing units and what tasks the machine will handle?
They might be restricting it for compatibility or warranty reasons.
Skip Intel 9th gen; the only valuable chip is the 9900K, but it's too costly for its price. Get a Ryzen 6 or newer and you'll be fine.
