Yep, and has SMT which will help, but going back to your original thread. Didn't you buy a 3600? 3300x does have more threads. The 9400f will lack threads in comparison to the 3300x. It's a four-core processor; the 9400F performs better. The 3600 offers superior streaming capabilities compared to both options.
The latest Intel 9th generation CPUs are the ones I dislike, except for the 9900K. The i7 and i3 without Hyper-Threading have poor performance and are becoming obsolete unless they shut down completely. If you're considering moving to the 10400 series, that's a good path forward.
Streaming usually means using the graphics card’s built-in encoder. Even the 9400F works best with 1080p X264 at 60fps; otherwise you’ll see stutters (based on my experience with the 8750H and similar Cinebench multithread scores for the 9400F). Intel’s issue is missing high-frequency memory support unless you buy a special Z chipset board. All AMD AM4 boards handle this, though whether they do well depends on other factors.
amd's processors consistently offer better value in this price range. if you prefer intel, opt for a chip that meets your essential requirements and a robust motherboard capable of supporting future upgrades to 10700k or even 10900k, at least with stock speeds and voltages.
