I've boosted my 8600k to 4.6ghz at 1.152v stable. I wondered if increasing it by another 100mhz (to 4.7ghz) would work without changing the voltage. My cooler is a Hyper 212 Evo, and the motherboard is an MSI Z370 A Pro.

You might attempt, but precise exact figures remain elusive. Every CPU differs under the concept of the 'Silicon Lottery,' meaning identical specifications (like 8600K, Hyper 212 EVO, MSI Z370 Pro) won't guarantee performance at 4.8 GHz @ 1.30v. Results could vary widely—better or worse. Only personal testing can confirm your limits. No single CPU defines boundaries; you must experience them yourself. Unless you opt for a pre-binned chip.

You might attempt it, but precise guidance remains elusive. Every CPU varies under the 'Silicon Lottery' concept—meaning identical specs like 8600K, Hyper 212 EVO, MSI Z370 Pro won’t guarantee performance. Results could be better or worse than expected. Only personal testing can confirm limits. No single CPU defines boundaries, and you can't judge quality until you push it. Unless you opt for a pre-binned model.

That said, are you confident with 4.6 @ 1.152v stability? That doesn’t seem accurate. Use Prime95 Blend for at least an hour to check consistency. Also monitor temperatures—your cooler is decent, but Coffee Lake CPUs aren’t the most efficient. Let me know if you need more!
