Upgrade to a new board and head to Ryzen. Consider waiting until fall with 4000 chips available.

They both agreed it wouldn’t make much difference. The IPC only slightly increased, and the IMC just saw a small boost in base frequency. For an upgrade, they suggested getting a 3600 and a tomahawk—it would be a big step forward.
