i5-7600k 3.8 to 4.5 overclock heat
I increased the overclock from 3.8 to 4.5, enabled all four cores, and tested performance in CODBOIII (90%) and PUBG (80%). Adjusted voltage from 1.260 to 1.250, achieving idle at 50%, COD at 90%, and PUBG around 75%. Used a stock cooler with thermal paste, an aftermarked cooler, and heatsink. I’m unsure about the fan settings but want to reduce heat without lowering the clock speed. Should I consider lowering the GHz to 4.4?

I increased my i5-7600k's clock from 3.8 to 4.5. All four cores were unlocked, and it runs at 60°C with less than 100% load in CODBOIII (90), PUBG (80). I lowered the voltage from 1.260 to 1.250, which brought idle to 50°C, COD to 90, and PUBG to around 75. It’s not a stock cooler, but I have stock thermal paste, a marked cooler, and a heatsink. (enermax, don’t know the fan). Should I try reducing the clock speed to 4.4 instead? You’ll need a better cooler for this overclock, and the new paste should help. Idle at 60°C seems too high—maybe the cooler isn’t installed correctly or the paste isn’t optimal.
