Hey! Everything okay? I’m using an ASUS Z270f board, a GTX 1050 Ti, 32 GB Corsair Vengeance 2400MHz RAM, and a dual-core CPU. I also have SSDs and hard drives. I understand spending on a 7700K isn’t the best move now since Ryzen 3300X is available. My current setup works fine, but I’m thinking about playing Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA VI at 1080p with 72Hz in the future. I’m not sure if I should switch to an AM4 motherboard or go for an i5 7500. Any advice?

I would search for a 6700/7700, otherwise it seems not worthwhile.

Make sure you're getting at least an i7 6700 or 7700. The older i5 models are really outdated.

I owned an i5 7500 three years back and it began to have trouble already. 4C/4T was no longer relevant by 2020.
