We wonder if spending on a 2000 or 3000 series RTX GPU would be more beneficial, especially since you're currently using your GTX 1660. We compare the potential performance boost against the costs and work required. Given your one-year timeline for the next build, we consider whether this investment aligns with your goals or if it's better to prioritize something else now.

I'll contribute a couple of dollars and choose a Z690 board instead of a B660. They're almost identical in price (used and new). Used models offer greater value; you can locate an ASUS Z690-P around $150 USD. For current gaming, an i5 is suitable, while an i7 would be better for future upgrades. Hold off on the RTX 3060 Ti as it's only marginally superior to a GTX 1080 Ti, for instance.

For improved results, consider purchasing a complete new system. If you prefer not to wait, we must first identify your PSU model since prices for used RTX3000 and 2000 units are declining.
