i5 6600k overclock
You're asking if a 4GHz clock speed is suitable for overclocking on your 212 EVO and i5 6600K without altering the voltage.
It's fine, just a bit above the Turbo Boost level. You'd probably be able to reach 4.2 without increasing the vcore.
I don't understand. The i5 6600k isn't the same; each model achieves varying clock speeds under different voltages. The speed you get at the default voltage depends on what stabilizes first.
I have a 212 evo and an i5 6600k. I’m thinking about overclocking without changing the voltage, so is a 4ghz clock speed suitable? I’ve been running at 45x for nearly two months with heavy daily use, which brings me to around 4.5Ghz. The voltage stays under 1,365V and never goes up too high, automatically limiting performance based on the workload. It hasn’t overheated (not more than 70°C) and has never crashed so far. Maybe I’m lucky with my chipset, but it seems like most people should be able to reach 4.5Ghz without issues.
