Since the CPU features a 3.9GHz Turbo Boost and was likely running auto, it might have been slightly overclocked, but you only increased its frequency by 200Mhz. Unless your graphics card is a 1080, it probably isn’t limiting performance, so changes shouldn’t affect frame rates.

Because that CPU runs at a 3.9GHz Turbo Boost, and I assume it was set to auto, which might have pushed it a bit too high; technically, I only increased the clock by 200Mhz. Unless your graphics card supports 1080, your CPU likely isn't limiting performance, so it shouldn't affect frame rates.

As Dr. Pepper suggested, the worst case is manageable—just monitor temperatures and look out for throttling.

This CPU runs at 3.9GHz Turbo Boost, likely running at a higher speed due to auto settings. With only an OC of 200Mhz, it probably won’t be the bottleneck for your card, so FPS shouldn’t be affected much.
Right, I plan to push it up to 4.4ghz at 1.2v.
Have you run any stress tests besides games?
It might work during gaming, but stability could be an issue.
Use Prime95 for a few hours; if no errors appear, your CPU looks stable.

Yes, I kept prime95 on for 10 minutes without any problems, and after a few days using this OC, I achieved a stable 4.4ghz at 1.2v. Looks like I got lucky with the CPU!

That's a solid choice for the voltage.

It's been about three months now, and I haven't left Prime95 on for long without issues. Have I still got to keep it running for hours? Or am I safe?

Regarding prime95, I'd say if it functions as intended for your needs, then I wouldn't have any concerns... Many benchmarks aim to simulate extreme conditions rather than everyday scenarios. So, if your OC performs well without crashes, you're good to go... Adam
