I've seen many discussions about overclocking i5-6500, but most of them are quite old. I'm curious—can it still be done? Will Windows 10 automatically shut it down after an update? Also, I understand you need a Z-mobile motherboard and plan to buy the Gigabyte Z170 K3.

In normal mode the components that received K can be overclocked, but in certain situations like this CPU we can raise the core clock by around 100mhz to reach approximately 4.4 or 4.5ghz in OC mode. So you can use it.overclock! That's correct.
Best regards .

On certain mobile devices, some bios settings permit adding extra non-'k' processors, though most don't. A poor addition might lead to crashes, so it's wise to perform a stability check before applying it in practice.

He is able to boost that i5 processor beyond expectations, definitely worth trying.

What type of motherboard does he have? When does the BCLK signal start to become unstable?
