i5-4690k Overclocking problem
Hi all,
I'm attempting to push my i5-4690k to its maximum performance, but the temperatures are rising significantly.
My motherboard is an ASUS Z97P, paired with a Corsair H55 liquid cooler.
I've tried overclocking to 4.2ghz using voltage adjustments to 1.2, but I encountered BSODs, so I increased the voltage again.
When running Prime95 for stress testing, the CPU temperature reached 75°C, and after roughly five minutes it surpassed 85°C.
Now it's returning to stock settings, operating at idle with 35°C and 50°C under load.
I really appreciate any advice you can offer. Thanks!
This version v26.6 is recommended as the previous one causes excessive CPU load due to AVX testing, leading to very high temperatures. Check the current status and retry to monitor the heat levels before attempting another overclock.
