I5-4670K Overclocking with High Temperatures
I'm experiencing issues with my i5-4670K overclocked to 4.4 GHz at 1.2 V. High temperatures (90°C) have been reported during stress testing, including OCCT Power Supply tests. I've been using a Corsair H100i with high-performance fans for several years now. The CPU and GPU temperatures are consistently around 70°C during gaming sessions. This has been ongoing since the chip arrived two years ago. I'm concerned about the space heater in the living room and wonder if this is typical behavior.
Prime definitely goes beyond what feels like real stress, you'll never reach that point with regular use, especially not while gaming. I've had a comparable setup with my 4690k at 4.4ghz, 1.160v, and an H60 water pump system.
I understand your request.
There are tools available that can simulate realistic loads on your system, helping you perform stress tests effectively.
You might want to explore options that match your needs.
Reusing thermal paste might reduce temperatures on the GPU, though your system will continue generating the same level of heat.
