I’m having trouble locating instructions for boosting the CPU with my motherboard. As a beginner in overclocking, I’d prefer not to take unnecessary risks since I’ve only done it once before.

Not really. A 3570k running at normal speeds could definitely lead to a CPU bottleneck when paired with a high-end GPU and some newer titles. Lowering the clocks helps ensure the GPU stays at full capacity. Of course, this doesn’t apply to all games.
Also, managing voltage and using a good cooler might extend your system’s lifespan by a couple of years, though it could shorten it slightly in five years.
Lastly, an i5 with 4.5 trades performs much better than a stock 6500k in manual builds, offering better power efficiency (except for newer technologies like DDR4).

You might need to OC because the current CPU performance isn't optimal.

What do you believe is the reason for needing an overclock?
It seems the current CPU performance is adequate.
My goal is to maximize its capabilities.

If your games are struggling with low frames per second, then consider upgrading your graphics card.
Increasing the CPU's overclocking won't solve this issue.
Changing the overclock settings without a clear reason isn't very smart.
It reduces the lifespan of the hardware and is generally not a good idea.

what's your hardware like? it's important to identify your bottleneck before making any upgrades, otherwise unnecessary changes can be wasted.
