Yeah, but that rx470 isn't the 1070... so he won't get that great performance, and we're talking about PUBG, the worst optimized game ever ahahahaha.

Don't feel the need to move up from the RX 470 to the RX 580, as it would be a waste of money. The RX 470 was changed to the 570 and the 480 became the 580.

Yes, I was also testing at 1440p high settings; 1080p medium should be sufficient. Based on a few websites, he should achieve 40-80 frames per second. Pubg performs significantly better now compared to earlier versions, although it's still not perfect.

Yeah, I understand, but he really wants to play really competitive at high levels... Well, PUBG isn't the best example for that, haha.

Search for LGA 1155 Xeons that might be slightly cheaper while still performing like a third-gen i7. I understand upgrading from 470 to 580 isn't worth it due to similar performance. Don't consider a 590 either.
