Hi, after upgrading to a 1440p monitor, everything seemed fine during gameplay. The real issue started when I tried multiplayer Battlefield V, where I encountered performance limits. I'm considering a CPU upgrade and possibly moving the current processor to another configuration, but first I want to confirm if the CPU is actually causing the slowdown. It's only affecting frame rates by a few frames above 120 FPS under high settings with RT enabled, but not dropping below 85-90 FPS in single-player. The overall experience feels a bit choppy.
Games with many cores and the slower speeds of an i5 aren't ideal. A newer i7 10th or 11th generation would make a big difference here.
I don't have a motherboard, but I can help you find information about it if you tell me your system requirements or what you're building.
Notice that CPU/GPU usage in online multiplayer games doesn't always reflect the full picture. Some titles perform poorly even on powerful hardware. The worst culprits appear to be CoD WZ. There are discussions weekly where players on weaker systems report terrible frame rates.
