Hello, based on your needs, I’m evaluating which CPU would suit you better. The i5 is priced at $250, while the Ryzen 3600 costs $300. Both offer comparable performance. Since you’re focused on gaming and productivity, along with a full system build, I’d recommend considering factors like cooling solutions, storage options, and RAM compatibility. Your existing GPU and drives will work, and you can reuse them. Don’t worry about the exact chip choice—it’s more about matching your workload. Cheers!

For gaming purposes it would be an i5, but for serious work you should use a 3600. Are we discussing video editing?

Is the additional fifty dollars justified for video editing, game development, modding, and similar tasks?

Absolutely, I'm all in for that option—it's worth the additional cost for the R5 3600.

I think so, though it's a complicated scenario. Fifty dollars might buy a better SSD or PSU. Still, for video editing, 5GHz is significantly superior.

Can I find out the impact it will have? From what I've observed, both game and computing performance seem similar, though the i5 has a slight edge in games but costs less.

Checking your current setup and comparing it to newer options helps determine if the upgrade makes sense for your needs.

The R5 3600 offers performance gains of 5-20% across both multi-core and single-core tasks, and it outperforms the i7 3770 by 40-60%.

3600 works well, though a 15% rate of 10400 seems acceptable. Yes, that's fine.
