You’ve got a mix of components that don’t quite fit together. The MSDI Z77A-G45 is an older laptop motherboard, so it’s unlikely to support modern RAM configurations. The Core i7 2600K is a desktop processor, not compatible with a laptop’s RAM slots. Also, the issue you’re describing—repeated on/off cycles and no video output—suggests a power or motherboard problem. Try checking the RAM slots directly: ensure they’re correctly seated in slot 2, and verify the motherboard supports the RAM type you have. If it still doesn’t work, contact Amazon support or the manufacturer for guidance.

No, there are no beep codes for having more than one stick of RAM.

Consider changing the single sticks one at a time to identify which causes the problem. Also, switch the slot where the good RAM stick is placed. If everything works afterward, the issue might relate to BIOS or CPU/MBOO not supporting dual channels.

No zip codes appear unless there’s an issue with the speaker. I double-checked the bent pins and found that dimm 1 and 2 function, located near the motherboard, while 3 and 4 don’t. The graphics card isn’t being detected either.

It seems you're questioning returning the board, finding it unappealing. Even with a working GPU, you'd still face limitations from running memory in a single channel, which isn't ideal.

I believe that’s the plan unless there’s a hardware problem, which I’m skeptical about. Fortunately, I should be able to install the new chip on my old motherboard—though it wasn’t exactly what I hoped for, but it works now.

You insert RAM into each slot one by one, testing them individually. For slot three, you use a RAM stick that fits that specific slot.

I determined the chip wasn't working, tried with an i5 and everything functioned properly. Thanks for your support!

To test slot 3, you don't require three RAM sticks. Running a single stick into any slot will make it function. It's not the best setup, but it works.

I've never managed that before, just in order.
