You were just watching a YouTube video when a loud noise came, so you turned off your computer and used a flashlight. We checked what we found—did anyone else have this experience, or was it unusual for you? Your machine had been working fine for months without any problems.

Did the mounting clip cause damage to the plastic mounting frame on the board?

They removed the tiny "ear" from the plastic piece that was fastened to the backplate using the board.

It seems unlucky, but why was the wire positioned inside the mounting clip? This could have created pressure on the plastic part because you had to push it into the metal clip.

The cable was entirely unsecured and lacked any tension. After the cooler was securely fastened to the board, I passed it through the USB port on the Prism’s RGB unit. The photo doesn’t capture it, but there’s ample space above it.

It's quite unfortunate indeed.

Unfortunately, things didn’t go well. In my opinion, the problem lies with the plastic rather than the cooler.

The biggest challenge is signing up for health insurance on Friday morning, and there’s no option to grab a cooler to start the setup before then. The only nearby shop with an AM4 cooler is Fry's, but they’re out of stock except for a few custom water-cooling components, making it impossible.

Yes, you're thinking of an MSI MMO card.

Absolutely, it's a bit frustrating. Plus, the plastic bar meant for AM4 doesn't work with AM3 since I already own some of those.
