Is it necessary to reinstall the cover back onto the socket on M2B if you won’t be using it? The seller bought a TUF z390 plus with Wi-Fi from fb market, and there are some bent pins visible. It looks like they might have tried to install the cover directly onto the socket or just force it in without proper setup.

Consider requesting a refund. Use a wooden toothpick and a magnifying glass to gently reposition the pins carefully. Then test the mobile device, hoping it works.

It varies by the pins involved, but if you're right, the CPU might still function. It hinges on which pins are damaged—whether it's a PCIe connector or power/ground connections. Test it yourself to identify the faulty ones. Also, avoid purchasing from the FB marketplace; they lack insurance and aren't safe like reputable sites that offer buyer protection.

Check if the seller is open to a refund, though bent pins can be repaired if they’re not completely broken. I’ve managed to fix a friend’s board before, but it requires time and patience to get everything back in order. It’s helpful to gently reposition them, insert the CPU into the socket, then inspect the alignment and make any necessary tweaks.

I previously owned a similar item with bent pins, but I was aware of the issue beforehand. The socket appeared functional after straightening it, and it has remained in use ever since. For this task, you'll need a magnifying glass or a visor with built-in lighting—it's more effective than a standard magnifier. A precise pair of tweezers can also help. Be aware that sometimes the pin isn't bent but rather displaced to one side; don't confuse that with bending. You can observe a couple in the photo I shared, and that's exactly what I did: I realigned them as needed. Most of your pieces (except the top one) seem shifted, which is fine except for the bent one. It’s easier to straighten the others, but the backward-bent one will require extra care. I've fixed a few similar cases before; it's not always simple, but achievable. The key is ensuring pins aren't completely detached. If you refuse a refund and lose the chance to appeal, you'll need to handle it yourself—realign everything carefully, confirm they're separate, and give it another try. Good luck!

Always verify details when purchasing second-hand. Others may attempt to mislead you quickly.

Hey everyone! I successfully adjusted the pins using a tweezer, and everything is working perfectly now. Thanks a ton!
