Did you upgrade Windows or your .NET on Windows? There isn't a v4.7.2 release, as Windows versions range from 1xxx with 1809 as the latest to 1803 before that. The sole 4.7.2 for Windows is the .NET edition.

Download Recuva and look for the specified file extension. If the files exist on the drive and haven’t been overwritten, they should be present. It’s also useful to scan your file system with the same extension, as changes in default locations can occur during updates.
