I used ryzen master to overclock my CPU a few months ago and it functioned properly, but now I'm encountering some BSODs. While trying to fix the issue, I discovered that Ryzen Master now believes my original clock speed is 4.1GHz when it's actually 3.6GHz. If I switch to a profile with 3.6GHz, it only maintains that speed until the PC shuts down, after which it reverts to 4.1GHz. In the BIOS it still shows 3.6GHz, so I'm not sure what's happening.

Do you have the AMD Ryzen Balanced Power plan installed in Windows? Are there other power plans available besides performance? Each can be adjusted to maintain a low CPU usage, such as 5%.

Find the reset option on the Ryzen Master in the top right corner, press it and restart your computer. If this doesn't work, remove the software and reset the CMOS settings. This should return everything to the original factory settings.

When I press the reset button it indicates these are my stock settings, which prevents it from functioning properly and instead resets the CMOS. This action affects only the motherboard settings, not a full factory reset of the PC.

It would simply revert the BIOS to its original factory settings.

Apologies for the delayed response. I disconnected the CMOS battery, allowed it to settle, then reinserted it and confirmed the frequency remained stable at 4.1 GHz upon powering up.

I also face the same problem with the R5 2600 CPU, but I can't get the default settings to work. I've tried all the solutions and nothing helps. This person has the same issue too, and it hasn't been fixed after a year.

I never came across that theory before, but I tried a lot. I removed the software in safe mode and reset the CMOS in two different ways—using the reset button or by removing the battery for a while. It always brought me back to the original factory settings.
