I use Windows.
I've been relying on Linus for quite some time with my smart fridge. Every time I open it, it suddenly introduces a random sponsor. Hopefully, they'll address the issue of veggies getting dropped and make improvements soon. Spoiler: it's coming!
I rely on Windows mainly because of its wide range of compatible programs. If every game and app I use functions well on Linux, I’d change my mind instantly. Windows 11 isn’t great, so avoid making the same error I did—don’t update.
Oh wow, please keep it real. I can totally picture a world where smart fridges nudge us toward buying from that specific grocery chain. If my fridge started pushing Raid Shadow Legends ads, I’d probably toss it out. I’m sticking with Windows 10 and don’t plan to switch. No gaming options on the side. I prefer Linux and Proton, but honestly, covering all my gaming needs seems impossible.
Windows XP is my main system; I only need it for banking or using that specific game launcher, but it’s my top priority.
I feel envious... I prefer not to use Windows 10, though everything is already configured and it’s the least troublesome option besides Mac. I can’t afford another Mac because it’s too pricey. For $300 I can get a solid Windows laptop, $500 for a decent Mac, $500-$700 for a good Windows PC, and $700 for a decent Mac. Linux works fine but those Wi-Fi drivers really frustrate me. My main goal is just to have the computer function properly.

You're using Windows 11 on your laptop. You've experimented with Linux before, like installing Fedora, but you're unlikely to switch it as your primary operating system.
I rely on four operating systems: trifecta, Windows, MacOS, and Linux, plus iOS. Windows is mainly for gaming. MacOS serves as my everyday platform, while Ubuntu powers my Plex server. I own an iPhone XR, which is how I interact with iOS. My gaming rig currently uses Windows 10. I plan to switch to version 11 next year, but I need time to prepare. Upgrading will require enabling certain UEFI settings and performing a full format followed by reinstallation. My old gaming PC has evolved into a Plex server. It runs a LTS Ubuntu version, which is stable. I operate it in headless mode for simplicity. The 2020 MacBook Pro with Intel is my current machine; purchased with stimulus funds during a midlife moment. I faced issues with Windows 10 on my previous gaming setup, so I temporarily moved away from it. Eventually, I opted for the MacBook Pro when it started installing Windows on my existing PC. My friend wanted to play together, so I bought a MacBook to avoid using Windows daily. I remain satisfied with the decision. Windows performs better on newer hardware.
