I am removing my Bitdefender after it frequently triggers too many false alarms in the software I rely on for trading. After the program is blocked by Active Virus Control, restoring files proved impossible, and adding them to the exclusion list didn’t help. The same apps remain restricted even after the latest update. I’m unable to recover them and have chosen an alternative solution. Would you suggest any specific service?
I've tried Avast Free and Malwarebytes for a monthly deep clean. It's been two years, and I've stayed super clean.
i haven't relied on any antivirus at all for quite some time, around two years or more. i'm not making this to impress, just sharing a real experience. i think getting free options would help, though my system feels slower sometimes. probably just the default windows firewall is the issue. the main point is, you don't have to pay for a paid antivirus to get top-level protection. free ones often work just as well, and many reputable ones handle things better than paid versions. unless you need 24/7 support, some good free tools like avast, avg, kasper, antimalbwareytes, avg, pctools are worth considering.
Malwarebytes is available in a top-tier edition for instant defense
Based on my experience, most antivirus software interferes with games. The only one I've used is Microsoft Security Essentials, which is currently turned off. If you want a smoother experience, explore options that don't disrupt your gaming.
