Details: CPU - r7 5800X GPU - EVGA RTX 3070 FTW3 Ultra MB - MAG B550 Tomahawk RAM - G.Skill RipJaws V Series (2x8)(DDR4 3600) Power Supply - Corsair RM750x Gold 80 Plus Same as title. Upgraded from R5 3600 to current specs. Updated BIOS didn’t help. RAM stays at 2133, changing it manually or via XMP causes crashes and CMOS reset is needed. CPU indicator lights up after frequency change and disappears after resetting CMOS. Should I check other components? Yes, if frequency stays at 2133 the system works fine for browsers and Photoshop, though gaming hasn’t been tested yet.

It might be good to inspect your CPU for any bent pins; this could point to a memory controller problem.

Sure, it’s safe to say. Otherwise this just feels like usual MSI troubleshooting (they’ve had similar problems before). Have you verified your RAM is in the QVL? Also, make sure to download chipset drivers from the official MSI website—not the AMD site. MSI usually provides custom drivers tailored for their motherboards.

What frequency are you using now? Also, are the CL/CAS timing values set manually? Does your device have a memory training feature?
