Ubuntu LTS offers a great balance of stability and performance. Updating drivers is straightforward using the repositories, and most software here is current, having been thoroughly tested before release. Unless there’s a critical driver absence, the only option is to switch to a newer distribution.
I notice many users seem to be working smoothly with the newest drivers. Perhaps my card is just a coincidence, but I’m not sure why I should switch from the stable versions except for Vulkan support.
