I understand the subject line, yet I chose to personalize my setup. My configuration includes: processor - i7-11700F, graphics - RX 580 (hard to locate...), motherboard - Z490 - A Pro. I’m familiar with the meaning of the letter "F," but after researching on various platforms, I realized that in order to push my CPU overclock slightly, I need to increase the base clock speed modestly. I was cautious about the risks—there’s a chance of damaging my motherboard—but many seem to have managed it without issues. So I went ahead. After watching a YouTube tutorial, I entered advanced BIOS settings, adjusted the CPU base clock from 100% to 104%, and tweaked a few parameters. Then I saved the changes and restarted my system. The screen stayed blank, no signal, but the PC was running and fans were still active. I restarted a few times without improvement. Then I was instructed to reset the CMOS. I followed the steps: powered down the PC, shut off the PSU, unplugged the power cable, removed the GPU (the CMOS battery was inside), unscrewed it, and left it out for 5 to 10 minutes while watching overclocking videos. After returning the battery, I reconnected the PSU and powered it on—this time, a click sounded. But nothing activated. I tried using another RAM stick, but it didn’t help. I repeated the whole process with a different PSU, still nothing. Eventually, I’m here seeking advice and hoping someone can help. If all else fails, maybe I’ll have to replace the motherboard, CPU, RAM, or even the GPU. But before making any purchases, I’d like to try any workaround to get my system back online.

I reviewed the manual, but I don't have any jumper caps. I'll search for some from my old MOBO and test it. The battery keeps the BIOS settings from being saved; without it, the PC boots but the settings don't remain. I obtained this from my research and experience, plus I faced a similar problem on another PC where I cleared the CMOS. Another issue is that my PC wouldn't turn on after removing the GPU—it would restart normally until then. Thanks for your response!
I understand it was a mistake. I was watching a Linus video, which is why I created this account and shared this. It looked convincing because he was the final one remaining from many videos. He mentioned an application existed, but it was outdated. I was hoping for better information, so I kept watching more videos. Usually I have a backup and do extensive research. However, it seems CPU OC using third-party tools was risky. I found many videos about BIOS settings and the only other app came from Intel, but my system isn<|pad|>, and it's not a K CPU. Of course I agree it was a poor choice and I'm paying for it. I tried a small overclock, assuming I wouldn't damage the system. I plan to remove the CMOS battery for 5 to 10 minutes and update my thoughts. But I'm still puzzled as to why my PC wouldn't boot after removing the GPU—I hope it works! (Thank you for your support)
