I think I'm completely lost here—Battlefield 4 is a mess!
I have 195 hours in BF4 right now. I’m usually near the top, often ranking in the best five of my games. I play casually and don’t focus much on performance, just for fun. Until yesterday, I thought the XP boosts were automatically added. Now I see after joining a match I can pick which boost I want—about 20 at full XP, 47 around 25%, and so on. I’m starting to feel a bit confused. Could be I’m way ahead of my level if I hadn’t noticed it earlier?
I've spent over 300 hours in BF4 and I've known about the XP boosts for about 10 hours!
Begin listening to ArmA. You won't face any issues with experience boosts. Wow, it's the 900th post!
I turned on the 25% enhancement and tried a few matches, but it didn’t seem very beneficial. The full boosts, however, might have been useful, particularly when facing servers packed with low-quality players. When I reach 15,000 points or more, I stay focused on the objective rather than my k/d. My main goal is to win the objective in the mode I play. I feel like I spent a lot of potential experience without gaining much, though it might just be my OCD influencing things. I haven’t joined any platoons and don’t even know what they are—just play in pubs and do what I want. I’d be open to joining something, but playing in pubs can be frustrating when everyone seems fixated on k/d like they’re obsessed with TDM. I also have a few 200% XP boosts. At least knowing about battlepacks helps count. @ The Hippo my name is the same here, maybe we could meet up sometime. I’ve just started exploring conquest now. Usually I stick to dom and pistols only. It seems like less competitive games. I’ve spent around 10 hours on conquest lately. I’ve been practicing sniping with the recon class; I’m not the best but I’m improving. I usually come close to evening out my stats. Conquest is quite different from dom, especially after investing so many hours—it’s almost second nature now.
I reached about 400 hours before beginning XP boosts x3. I was aware they existed, but didn’t use them much. I had well over 200 boosts at 25% capacity saved. I still have around 200 left, mainly from using the larger boosts.
