I tested three different PSUs but my old one is still working.
I tested three different PSUs but my old one is still working.
My PC:
RTX 5090 for intensive gaming
AMD Ryzen 7 9800x3D
B650 Gaming X AX V2
(OLD Power Supply Unit) - Thermaltake 1200W 80+ Gold GF3
Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB M.2 SSD
Teamgroup Delta 32Gb (16x2) Cl30
TRYX Panorama SE 360 AIO Cooler
I purchased a Rog Strix 1200W from microcenter, but the PC wouldn’t start—it kept looping. After switching back to the old PSU using the same cables, it worked. The next day I replaced it with another Rog Strix, and the issue persisted. The following day, I contacted microcenter service, but they couldn’t explain why it was happening. I then upgraded to SuperFlow Leadex v11 Pro. Now, when I power it on, it only fully starts for a brief second before switching off. Unlike the previous ASUS model, there’s no debug light, RGB fans aren’t spinning, and the CPU fan isn’t active.
Things I tried with all new PSUs:
1. Verified all cables are from the same brand.
2. Ensured cables were fully connected, avoiding third-party cables.
3. Connected only the motherboard and CPU to reduce troubleshooting.
4. Removed the motherboard battery to rule out BIOS interference.
5. Switched RAM sticks in and out.
What should I do now? Please advise.
