Yesterday someone shared a new tool for Zen 2 CPUs and I tested it on my 3700x. The results were great! My CB20 went up from around 4750 MHz to about 4970 MHz. It actually pushed the cores higher: the CCX1 reached 4.2 GHz while the CCX2 hit 4.175 GHz at a voltage of 1.275 V (which is called SVI2 TFN). I think this is safe since temperatures didn't get much worse, and it saves power too! Before, I couldn't even get all cores to reach 4.2 GHz; it was unstable at lower voltages. Has anyone tried this? How did you do it?

FYI....if I don't set a specific voltage or frequency for an overclock, my CB20 MT scores drop down to 5140-5160, while ST scores go lower at around 510-513. I have a 3700X and yes, I'm using PBO. At 1.275V, that's probably safe for the fixed voltage, but when my system runs at 1.25-1.275V during an overclock, things get even better. The point is: you're just hurting your performance if you don't let it run in AUTO mode to keep the processor safe and use PBO to boost performance naturally.

Maybe you own the top-tier 3700X processor that's been around for a while now and is still great to use.

No, it's not really silicon anymore; it feels like it started back in the day before the chips got their modern boosters. I'm only getting five cores hitting 4400, though three might sneak up to 4425 and two are normal. Old 3700X guys who tweaked PBO are actually seeing all eight cores go to 4450-4475. Yeah, try turning on a little tweak and see the real difference compared to just manually screwing it in yourself. Just be careful and check that single-thread CB20 test score too so you don't miss anything hidden.

I've been trying since I got this CPU. Honestly, all I managed to do was boost it to 4.1Ghz across every core using tweaked PBO. This worked on a CB20 card. In everyday stuff like browsing and apps, I get about 4300 MHz in three cores. When playing games, the speed jumps up between 4175 and 4350 MHz depending on what game you're running.
